Haldi

Add a heading-11_edited.png

ABOUT

Haldi is a pre-wedding ritual centered on blessing, laughter, and a little intentional chaos. During this ceremony, a turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom by friends and family, symbolizing purification, good luck, and a glowing start to married life. The turmeric’s bright yellow hue is said to ward off negativity and invite prosperity into the days ahead.

While the ritual is rooted in tradition, the spirit of Haldi is playful and joyful. The application doesn’t necessarily have to be gentle, and things tend to get messy (in the best way). Expect music, laughter, and by the end the very real possibility of us being tossed into the pool.

Sangeet

ABOUT

Sangeet is a lively pre-wedding celebration dedicated to music, dance, and bringing both families together in one joyful space. Rooted in North Indian and Punjabi wedding traditions, it originally began as an intimate gathering where loved ones sang folk songs, shared stories, and offered blessings ahead of the wedding.

Today, it’s an energetic evening of performances, dancing, and a little friendly competition. It’s less about perfection and more about participation, enthusiasm, and shared joy. Expect a high-energy night filled with music, laughter, and a dance floor that stays busy well into the evening whether you come prepared with choreography or jump in as the night unfolds.

If you’re interested in performing, please reference your invitation for details on how to sign up.

Baraat

ABOUT

The Baraat is the groom’s grand entrance and one of the most high-energy moments of the wedding celebration. Think of it as a parade full of fun, dancing, color, and music where family and friends escort the groom as he makes his way to the ceremony.

This one comes with a horse (!!!), a packed crowd, and zero expectation of standing still. We’ll be dancing our way in together, setting the tone for the main event with energy, joy, and a little chaos. Jump in, follow the music, and don’t overthink it - let loose and have fun.

ABOUT

The Mandap is the sacred space where the wedding ceremony takes place and where the most meaningful moments of the day unfold. This is where we’ll exchange vows, take part in time-honored rituals, and officially begin our marriage, surrounded by the people we love most.

Ours will be set beneath a palapa in the middle of a cenote, surrounded by water, stone, and open air. It’s a setting meant to slow everything down - a quiet, grounding moment at the heart of the weekend where tradition, nature, and togetherness meet.

Reception

ABOUT

The reception is where the celebration comes full circle. It’s an evening dedicated to good food, great music, and spending time with the people who brought us here. After the ceremony, we’ll gather to eat, drink, dance, and celebrate the start of our marriage together.

This night is a true fusion of Mexican and Indian food, music, and culture - bringing together flavors, sounds, and traditions from both sides of our lives. Come hungry, stay on the dance floor, and expect a night that reflects who we are and the community we’re building together.
